Cyber Security Skills Development Programme

Cyber Security skills are critical to the future of business. The Cyber Security Skills Development Program in partnership with Deviare is testament to a sustainable solution in securing job seeking Youth’s future or at least give the Youth a chance to participate in the economy. This skills transformation programme will run for a duration of 4 months, targeted to boost employment for 60 Youth sponsored by Microsoft. The programme will focus on developing Youth from Phalaborwa, Mafikeng and Pietermaritzberg.

The 3 major components of this programme include; Recruitment, Training on Cyber Security and Cyber Security Exams. Candidates must reside in the following areas: Mafikeng, Phalaborwa, Pietermaritzburg. 

About the Graduate Programme

This intensive 4 months programme is specifically designed to empower youth like you with the skills and experience to thrive in the digital economy. It's a structured learning journey that combines technical training, practical experience, and career readiness support to help you launch your career as a Cyber Security Analyst.

Start Your Digital Career

Step 1: Sign-up

  • Create a username (email address) and password
  • Verify login details through email confirmation
  • Complete aptitude & behavioral assessments
  • Update profile:
    • Add ID copy
    • Proof of address
    • Bank statement (Optional)
    • Matric  Certificate Copy
    • Copy of Tertiary qualifications

Step 2: Shortlist

  • We review your profile to check if you meet all specified programme requirements
  • Candidates who meet our program requirements will be further shortlisted based on their  supporting documents and assessment scores
  • If you do not meet the program requirements, your application will be automatically rejected
  • Note: Applications with incomplete documents or without the assessment will not be considered

Step 3: Feedback & Offer

We’ll provide timely and constructive feedback, and we may extend an offer if you:
  • Meet our programme requirements
  • Submit all the required documents
  • Meet our assessment score requirement
  • Pass our background checks

 

Note: Meeting the requirements does not guarantee acceptance on the Programme due to limited available spaces. Preference will be given to candidates with the highest assessment scores

Step 4: Agreement

  • Successful candidates will receive an agreement  via email
  • The receipt date will be considered as the date the agreement is sent to the candidate
  • Selected candidates will be required to sign and return the agreement within 2 days of receipt and no extensions shall be granted
  • Failure to sign and return the agreement  within the specified 2-day period will result in automatic withdrawal of the offer
Requirements

  • Ages between 18-34
  • South African Citizen
  • Unemployed Youth 
  • Must reside in Pietermaritzburg, Phalaborwa, Mafikeng
  • Diploma/ Degree in IT or related field
  • Must not be participating in another Learnership or Internship programme
  • Must not be enrolled at any tertiary institution, including TVET Colleges
  • Must not be employed
