Multimedia Design
Admission requirement: Matric with English and Maths
Qualification obtained: Higher Certificate in Design Thinking with a focus on Multimedia Design, NQF5.
Programme run by: Greenside Design Centre
The OG Creative Technology Academy is offering the opportunity to study and complete a Higher Certificate in Design Thinking, with a focus on Multimedia Design and will lay the foundation on creative and visual thinking, design thinking and the design process, visual communication methods, professional practice and the analysis and critique of design solutions. Learners will be equipped with the fundamental toolkit to problem solve and develop creative design solutions within the exciting field of Multimedia Design.
3D Animation & Visual Effects
Admission requirement: Matric with English
Qualification obtained: Higher Certificate in Design Thinking with a focus on 3D Animation & Visual Effects, NQF5.
Programme run by: Greenside Design Centre
The OG Creative Technology Academy is offering the opportunity to study and complete a Higher Certificate in Design Thinking, with a focus on 3D Animation & Visual Effects. It will set the stage for a well-rounded understanding of design principles, fostering creative and visual thinking, design processes, and effective communication. In the second semester, students specialise in 3D Animation & Visual Effects, gaining essential skills covering 3D modelling, animation, and more. The program also includes student access to industry-standard software like Autodesk Maya, Mudbox, and Substance Painter, as well as Office 365. The intention of the learning experience is to set the foundations for a student to develop in the areas of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) and work towards creating realities that go beyond our everyday experiences.
2D + Animation,Illustration & Storyboard Design
Admission requirement: Matric with English
Qualification obtained: Higher Certificate in Design Thinking with a focus on 2D Animation, Illustration and Storyboard Design, NQF5.
Programme run by: Greenside Design Centre
The OG Creative Technology Academy is offering the opportunity to study and complete a Higher Certificate in Design Thinking, with a focus on 2D Animation, Illustration and Storyboard Design, and will lay the foundation in the broad principles and practices of design. The programme introduces learners to creative and visual thinking, design thinking and the design process, visual communication methods, professional practice and the analysis and critique of design solutions. It offers an integrated combination of conceptual and applied skills and prepares learners to become flexible, problem-solving thinkers outside the boundaries of a single design discipline. This Higher Certificate is an elective in Design Thinking with a focus on 2D Animation, Illustration and Storyboard Design.
Game Design & Development
Admission requirement: Matric with English and Maths
Qualification obtained: Higher Certificate in Design: Game Design & Development, NQF5

The OG Creative Technology Academy is offering the opportunity to study and complete a Higher Certificate in Game Design & Development that offers a comprehensive education blending design and development, preparing students for success in the gaming industry. In this programme, you'll delve into C# scripting, explore game theory, and master Unity 3D development techniques. Additionally, you'll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge Virtual Reality technology, creating games compatible with various VR hardware. The programme provides access to industry standard software, including Unity, V-Ray, Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and more, along with Office 365 throughout your studies. The goal is that by the end of your studies, you’ll have a foundation to work on exciting projects for big brands alongside other disciplines in the Creative Tech space.
Interdisciplinary Design
Admission requirement: Matric with English
Qualification obtained: Higher Certificate in Design Thinking with a focus on Interdisciplinary Design, NQF 5.

The OG Creative Technology Academy is offering the opportunity to study and complete a Higher Certificate in Interdisciplinary Design that offers a foundation in the broad principles and practices of design. The programme introduces learners to creative and visual thinking, design thinking and the design process, visual communication methods, professional practice and the analysis and critique of design solutions. It offers an integrated combination of conceptual and applied skills and prepares learners to become flexible, problem-solving thinkers outside the boundaries of a single design discipline.
From concept to creation, you will be introduced to the principles of design, drawing, materials and manufacturing processes used in the discipline, including the use of new and traditional methods and technologies such as rapid prototyping, 3D printing, laser cutting as well as traditional constructive, subtractive and additive sculpting mediums.

Depending on the stream you follow, you will get an industry specific NQF level 5 certificate.
